The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mass Group Holding Company Chairman Ahmad Saleh to conduct feasibility studies for green hydrogen projects in Jordan.
The agreement aims for an annual production of 180,000 tonnes of green ammonia and outlines cooperation to empower the company for a preliminary feasibility study on a new green hydrogen project.
This marks the eighth agreement in green hydrogen and ammonia production, with Minister Kharabsheh emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships to realize Jordan’s vision of becoming a global hydrogen hub.
The MoU is part of the government’s efforts to enhance Jordan’s role in regional green energy production, leveraging its strategic location and abundant renewable energy resources.
