Maithon Power Limited (MPL), a JV between Tata Power and Damodar Valley Corporation, clinched the third spot in plant load factor (PLF) rankings among independent power producers (IPPs) for April-December 2023, as per the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). PLF, a vital gauge of power plant efficiency, underscores MPL’s operational prowess.
MPL also secured the fourth position in PLF rankings for December 2023 among IPPs, reaffirming its industry leadership. Moreover, MPL garnered accolades from the Eastern Region Load Despatch Centre in December 2023 for its outstanding management of reactive power at its 1,050 MW Maithon plant.
