Think Community Solar, a subsidiary of Energywell, has announced its expansion into 10 additional markets, encompassing 18 new utilities, effective February 19th.
Through its rapidly growing independent salesforce, Think+, the organization will now offer enrollment in solar farms across 14 states and Washington, D.C., spanning 30 utilities. This geographic expansion aims to advance the mission of providing households across the United States with increased access to clean energy options.
With nearly 6,000 independent entrepreneurs comprising its base, Think+ is poised to connect customers to community solar projects on a larger scale. The expanded network of solar projects will enable Think+ Energy Advisors to seamlessly facilitate connections between customers and local solar farms.
Energywell CEO Michael Fallquist highlighted the potential of Think+ as a market leader in community solar, emphasizing the success of their sales model despite being a startup in the space with limited geographic coverage last year.
The expansion adds Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. to Think Community Solar’s existing presence in New York, New Jersey, Maine, and Maryland, opening doors to previously untapped community solar markets.
Fallquist emphasized the significance of this expansion, positioning Think+ as not only facilitators but leaders in the transition to a sustainable future.
Already gaining momentum, Think Community Solar has entered into an agreement to allocate over 2,500 New York-based customers to existing projects across various utilities in the state, further propelling the organization’s growth trajectory and impact in the clean energy sector.
