Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL) is seeking bids for the engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and three-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a 75 MW grid-connected solar project adjacent to its Surat Lignite Power Plant.
Bidders have until March 13, 2024, to submit their proposals.
The project entails developing the solar facility and associated power evacuation infrastructure to connect to Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporationโs 66 kV substation in a nearby village. GIPCL will allocate 133 hectares of land near the lignite power plant for this purpose.
The target date for project commissioning is 330 days from the issuance of the letter of intent.
Prospective bidders are required to furnish an earnest money deposit of โน3 crore. Additionally, security deposit and performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the EPC cost, and O&M bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the EPC cost will be required.
Bidders must demonstrate an average annual turnover of at least โน200 crore over the last three financial years, with positive net worth in the last financial year.
Experience in constructing and commissioning solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher is mandatory for bidders. At least one of these projects should have a capacity of 10 MW or more and be operational for a minimum of six months before the bid opening date.
