NorthRenew Energy, known as NorthRenew, has announced the sale of its Lavaca Bay Solar project to a significant midstream energy company.
Situated in Matagorda County, Texas, the Lavaca Bay project is projected to boast over 300MW of solar capacity and is slated to begin construction in the first quarter of 2023, with commercial operations anticipated to commence in mid-2024. This deal marks NorthRenew’s third project sale in 2022 and its seventh project sale since its establishment in 2017.
Garth Klimchuk, the Founder and Managing Partner of NorthRenew, expressed satisfaction with the transaction, emphasizing the collaboration with one of North America’s largest energy firms. Klimchuk also highlighted the ongoing partnership with their team to advance the Lavaca project’s construction and explore additional opportunities for collaboration in the future.
