Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s leading renewable energy company, has energized 1,000 MW solar capacity at Khavda, Gujarat, contributing to its 9,478 MW operational capacity, advancing towards the 2030 goal of 45,000 MW. Within less than a year of initiating operations at Khavda, AGEL completed 1,000 MW, installing around 2.4 million solar modules. This swift progress highlights AGEL’s dedication to India’s 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target by 2030.
Spanning 538 sq km of barren land, five times the size of Paris, the world’s largest RE plant of 30 GW is slated for completion within the next five years. This ambitious project is anticipated to generate over 15,200 green jobs. AGEL also intends to employ waterless cleaning robots across its entire solar capacity to combat dust accumulation on panels, boosting energy output and conserving water in the arid Kutch region. This aligns with AGEL’s water neutrality objectives, in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6.
