The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued a tender for the annual operation and maintenance of a 1.2 MW ground-mounted solar power project for 24 months at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi.
The contract will also cover the maintenance of electrical and mechanical installations on-site.
The estimated cost of the project is โน2.9 crore.
Deadline for bid submissions is April 8, 2024, with bid openings scheduled for April 22.
Bidders must pay a tender processing charge of โน1,180 and make an earnest money deposit of โน582,177.
Additionally, selected bidders must provide a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the tendered document within 30 days of receiving the letter of award.
The scope of work includes annual operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical installations, including the 1.2 MW solar project, operational area, ATC tower cum technical block, and AAI residential colony at the airport.
Eligible contractors must have completed three works worth โน58.2 lakh, two works worth โน72.8 lakh, or one work worth โน1.164 crore in a single contract of similar nature, such as the operation and maintenance of Airport Ground Light Facilities system, within the last seven years.
To be eligible, bidders must demonstrate an average annual financial turnover of โน43.6 lakh in the last three years or have a minimum net worth of โน21.8 lakh.
