Medebridge is poised to become a significant renewable energy asset, capable of generating over 71,000MWh annually, providing electricity to more than 26,000 homes and preventing the emission of over 13,500 tonnes of CO2 each year.

This project, acquired from sustainable infrastructure investors NTR plc, comes with all necessary approvals, including planning consent, grid connection, and land agreements, streamlining the construction process. Construction is scheduled to commence in the summer, with completion anticipated by the summer of 2025.

Enviromena’s acquisition of the Medebridge project was made possible through a successful £65 million fundraising effort with investors, Arjun Infrastructure Partners.

Chris Marsh, CEO of Enviromena, expressed the company’s excitement about the acquisition, emphasizing its alignment with Enviromena’s goal of delivering 500MW of operational solar projects while contributing to the UK’s Net Zero targets.

Julian Skinner, Head of Asset Management at Arjun Infrastructure Partners, commended Enviromena’s progress and pledged continued support for their growth, recognizing the project’s substantial contribution to decarbonizing the UK energy market.
