Greenvolt Power, a subsidiary of the Greenvolt Group specializing in utility-scale renewable energy projects, has recently secured a €36 million Project Finance deal with UniCredit Bank Hungary. This financing is earmarked for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a 57 MW solar photovoltaic park in Hungary.
Currently in the construction phase, the solar park is projected to achieve Commercial Operational Date status by the end of the first half of 2024. João Manso Neto, CEO of the Greenvolt Group, emphasized the significance of this financing, noting that it will facilitate the swift deployment of another solar park, contributing to the generation of additional green energy to meet growing demand.
The utility-scale project boasts an impressive installed capacity of 57 MWp, poised to generate approximately 87 GWh annually. Plans are already in place to connect the solar park to the electricity grid, with the energy produced to be sold under Hungary’s feed-in-tariff support scheme.
