Waaree Energies Limited, a leading player in the solar energy sector, has entered into a significant contract with Sprng Energy Private Limited, a part of the Shell group. This deal includes the provision of 220MW from Waaree’s AHNAY Series, Bi-55 545Wp modules, designated for a Sprng Energy project in Gujarat, underscoring the strengthening collaboration in India’s renewable energy landscape.
This partnership is a testament to both companies’ commitment to bolstering the renewable energy sector in India, further supported by the government’s push for domestic manufacturing and the Make in India initiative.
Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi, the Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Group, highlighted the partnership’s significance, stating it reflects Waaree’s resolve to enhance renewable energy’s footprint in India. He emphasized Waaree’s readiness to support solar projects across the country with its high-quality PV modules, marking a vital step in advancing the nation’s green energy goals.
Gaurav Sood, CEO of Sprng Energy, also expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting it aligns with the Government of India’s emphasis on domestic production. He emphasized that the partnership is poised to bolster Sprng’s capacity to provide reliable and sustainable energy solutions, further contributing to the national grid’s green electron supply.
