Soltec, a prominent player in photovoltaic projects, has finalized the sale of a 400 MWac solar project in Brazil’s Mato Grosso do Sul state. The acquisition was made by Casa dos Ventos, a leading renewable energy entity in the country.
Soltec’s energy division boasted 13 GW of projects in development globally as of December 31, 2023, with 6.4 GW located in Brazil at various stages of development.
Raรบl Morales, CEO of Soltec, expressed satisfaction with the agreement, citing its contribution to enhancing the company’s global development project portfolio. Morales emphasized Brazil’s strategic importance for Soltec, highlighting the company’s significant presence and track record in the country. He also noted that the quality of the agreement underscores Soltec’s operational prowess in Brazil.
