Waaree Energies Wins 400 MW Solar Module Supply Contract from GIPCL

Waaree Energies Limited, a prominent player in the solar energy sector, announced a significant achievement on Monday, having won a substantial 400 MW module supply order from Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL). This contract is pivotal for Waaree as it involves the delivery of advanced bifacial solar PV modules for the sprawling 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park located near Village Khavda in the Great Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

The contract encompasses the complete manufacturing, testing, packaging, and transportation of the solar PV modules, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards. Waaree Energies aims to fulfill the order promptly to meet project timelines. Each of the modules provided under this contract will conform to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) category specifications, with capacities ranging between 540 Wp to 570 Wp.

Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi, the Chairman and Managing Director of Waaree Energies, commented on the new development, stating, “This initiative underscores our commitment to promote domestic manufacturing, generate employment, and support the nation’s ambitious renewable energy targets.โ€ This project not only aligns with Indiaโ€™s renewable energy goals but also positions Waaree Energies as a key contributor to the nation’s green energy future, fostering job creation and technological advancement in the domestic energy sector.
