MN8 Energy Secures 457 MW of American Solar Modules from First Solar

First Solar, Inc. has announced that MN8 Energy LLC (โ€œMN8โ€) has placed orders for 457 megawatts (MW) of advanced thin film solar modules. This includes 170 MW of Series 6 Plus bifacial modules and 287 MW of Series 7 modules. These modules are designated to fuel projects located in the northeastern and southern regions of the United States.

Established in 2017 as Goldman Sachs Renewable Power, MN8 currently manages a portfolio generating 3.2 GW. This portfolio caters to the renewable energy needs of more than 40 corporations, 70 government entities, and 20 utilities. MN8 has previously engaged with First Solar to acquire 123 MW American Kings Solar project located in California.
