Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems, is showcasing its latest innovations at CLEANPOWER 2024 in Minneapolis. The company’s focus is on addressing fire safety concerns related to renewable energy technologies, particularly battery energy storage systems.
At the expo, Sungrow is presenting its next-generation liquid-cooled battery energy storage systems and string inverters. These systems incorporate advanced temperature management and fire suppression systems to ensure the highest safety standards. Sungrow’s technology aims to alleviate safety concerns and promote the adoption of utility-scale storage systems in the energy industry.
One of the highlights is Sungrow’s new liquid-cooled energy storage system, which offers expanded capacity and enhanced performance. The system features an innovative AC storage design and a standard 5MWh full liquid energy storage system that can be easily expanded up to 10MWh. It also boasts a string PCS that facilitates independent charging and discharging of battery energy capacity, resulting in increased efficiency.
Sungrow emphasizes its commitment to safety and reliability, with features such as compartmentalized designs and advanced fire suppression systems. The company’s president for the Americas, Hank Wang, highlights Sungrow’s holistic approach to integration, which minimizes risks associated with complex systems.
In addition to energy storage systems, Sungrow is showcasing its advanced utility-scale PCS and tailored solutions for commercial and industrial applications. The company’s string and central PV inverters are compatible with various PV modules and offer high efficiency and flexibility in system design.
