Singareni Collieries Invites Tenders for 1 MW/2.5 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at 28 MW Mandamarri Solar Plant

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), a government enterprise, has announced a tender for the establishment of a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 1 MW/2.5 MWh at its 28 MW Solar Power Plant located in Mandamarri, Mancherial District, Telangana State. This project includes comprehensive design, engineering, supply, packing, forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning, along with ten years of comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M).

The estimated value of this ambitious project is approximately INR 5 Crores. Interested bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 5 Lakhs as part of their bid.

Bidders must also pay an e-procurement transaction fee calculated at 0.03% of their quoted value (on a landed cost basis) plus Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the transaction fee. The current GST rate applicable is 18%. For this tender, the e-procurement transaction fee is capped at INR 10,000 for quoted values up to INR 50 Crores and INR 25,000 for values exceeding INR 50 Crores, with GST applied over and above these caps.

Prospective bidders must submit their bids by June 18, 2024.

This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing energy storage capabilities and supporting renewable energy infrastructure in Telangana, aligning with broader government efforts to promote sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
