ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Installs 125 Solar Streetlights in Suvali Village, Promoting Sustainable Development

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has taken a significant step towards community development and sustainability by installing 125 solar streetlights in Suvali village, Hazira. This initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities aimed at fostering sustainable development and creating positive, inclusive change in the Hazira Kantha Vistar region.

The project was officially inaugurated by Shri Mukesh Patel, Hon’ble Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Climate Change, Water Resources & Water Supply, Government of Gujarat. The ceremony was attended by Shri Sandip Desai, Hon’ble MLA of Choryasi, and other notable dignitaries.

Minister Mukesh Patel praised the initiative, stating, “I express my sincere gratitude to the entire team of AM/NS India for their commendable public welfare efforts in Hazira.” His appreciation underscores the positive impact of the project on the local community.

Dr. Anil Matoo, Head of Corporate Affairs at AM/NS India, emphasized the company’s dedication to community development during his address. “At AM/NS India, we believe in empowering the communities we operate in. Our key focus areas include health, environment, education, sports, community infrastructure, and skill development. We are committed to creating sustainable livelihoods in the Hazira Kantha Vistar and driving positive and inclusive change.”
