Actis Unveils Orygen and Appoints New CEO After Acquiring Enel Generación Perú

Orygen begins operations with a 2.2GW diversified energy generation capacity, encompassing Peru’s largest renewable energy portfolio. The company aims to expand this leading renewable offering with a 12GW development portfolio. Marco Fragale has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Orygen. Fragale, an experienced energy executive, has held numerous roles with Enel across Latin America, including in Peru. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, a master’s degree in Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology, and an MBA from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan. With 25 years of experience, Fragale has been instrumental in advancing the energy transition.

This inauguration comes on the heels of Actis’ acquisition of a 92.35% stake in Enel Generación Perú S.A.A. and a 100% stake in Compania Energetica Veracruz last month.
