Mr. Thidade Eiamsai, Deputy Governor of Power Plant Development and Renewable Energy at EGAT announced the advancement of the 140 MW Hydro-Floating Solar Hybrid Project at Srinagarind Dam. The project will integrate solar energy with hydropower from the existing dam, ensuring stable and efficient power generation with minimal environmental impact. This initiative aligns with Thailand’s targets of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Emissions by 2065 through effective carbon offset mechanisms. The project is expected to commence commercial operations by 2026.
