South Eastern Coalfields Limited Invites Tenders for 5 MW Solar Power Plant Project

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has announced an invitation for online tenders for a significant solar power plant project. The tenders can be submitted via the official website. Eligible bidders must possess a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) issued by any agency authorized by the Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA), Government of India. This certificate must be traceable up to the Root Certificate of CCA.

The project involves the planning, designing, and installation of a grid-connected solar power plant with a capacity of 5 MW (AC) / 6.75 MW (DC). The solar plant will be ground-mounted and situated at the Vivek Nagar Mines in the Sohagpur Area of SECL. The scope of work includes constructing an evacuation transmission line, modifying the existing boundary wall, and upgrading community places and structures to make them habitable. Additionally, the project entails proper landscaping and beautification efforts, power evacuation arrangements, and a comprehensive 10-year operation and maintenance plan.

The estimated value of the project, including GST, is ₹44,85,25,416.00, with an earnest money deposit requirement of ₹50,00,000.00. The total contract period spans 3920 days, divided into two main phases: 270 days (approximately 9 months) for construction, trial runs, and commissioning of the solar plant and park, followed by 3650 days (10 years) for operation and maintenance.

The deadline for bid submissions is July 27, 2024, at 17:00 hours. The technical bid opening (Part-I) is scheduled for July 29, 2024, at 11:00 hours, while the date for the price bid opening (Part-II) will be announced later.
