At the Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference & Exhibition 2024 in Malaysia, Hydrexia Borneo Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Hydrexia Holding Limited, a prominent hydrogen solutions provider in China, announced a pivotal agreement with ICE SEDCE Hydrogen Sdn Bhd (ISHSB) of Malaysia. This strategic alliance involves the formation of a joint venture dedicated to developing, operating, and maintaining hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) and storage solutions.
The Heads of Agreement (HOA) marks a collaboration aimed at harnessing the technological and market strengths of both entities to meet Malaysia’s evolving hydrogen infrastructure needs. Specifically, the joint venture will focus on deploying HRS and storage solutions for the Rembus depot of the Automated Rapid Transit System, an integral part of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS).
“This partnership with ISHSB signifies a significant step forward for Hydrexia in the Malaysian hydrogen market,” stated George Gan, CEO of Hydrexia Southeast Asia. “By leveraging our technology and working closely with ISHSB, we aim to effectively address local demand for hydrogen solutions.”
Abdul Jalil Maraicar, Group Managing Director of ICE Petroleum representing ISHSB, expressed optimism: “We are excited about the potential of this joint venture to meet our region’s HRS and storage needs. Partnering with Hydrexia allows us to capitalize on their technological expertise and enhance our service offerings.”
