RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. has inaugurated a 3 GW solar module manufacturing facility at IndoSpace Industrial Park in Khopoli, Maharashtra, marking a significant expansion of its domestic production capacity.
With this addition, the company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity has increased to 5.6 GW, further strengthening its presence in western India.
Advanced AI-Powered Manufacturing Facility
The new facility spans over 700,000 square feet and has been developed as a fully automated, AI-powered manufacturing unit.
According to the company, the plant integrates advanced production technologies and digital monitoring systems designed to enhance manufacturing precision, improve operational efficiency, and ensure high product quality.
Strategic Location for Supply Chain Efficiency
Located near Mumbai, the Khopoli facility benefits from strong multimodal connectivity, enabling efficient logistics and distribution.
RenewSys stated that the strategic location is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and improve access to both domestic and international markets.
Strengthening India’s Solar Manufacturing Ecosystem
The expansion comes amid growing efforts to scale domestic solar manufacturing capacity and reduce reliance on imports.
The new facility is expected to contribute to India’s broader renewable energy goals by supporting increased deployment of locally manufactured solar modules.
