EKI Energy Services Ltd., a prominent global developer and supplier of carbon credits, has announced its accreditation by the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA). This recognition underscores EKIโs adherence to the ICROA Code of Best Practice, affirming its role in providing consultancy and advisory services for carbon offsetting and sustainability.
ICROA, a leading advocate in the voluntary carbon market for over a decade, sets high standards for quality assurance, emissions reductions, and the effective use of carbon credits. EKIโs new membership places it among a select group of organizations dedicated to advancing best practices in carbon offsetting and climate finance globally.
Manish Dabkara, Chairman and Managing Director of EKI Energy Services Ltd., expressed his pride in the achievement. “We are honored to receive accreditation from ICROA, which reflects our steadfast commitment to international best practices in carbon offsetting. This accreditation highlights our dedication to providing our clients with credible and impactful carbon credits that contribute to global climate change mitigation efforts. As an ICROA member, we are resolute in driving responsible corporate climate action and supporting the transition to a net-zero carbon economy by 2050,” Dabkara said.
Naveen Sharma, Director of Global Carbon Sales and Origination at EKI, also commented on the milestone. “Achieving ICROA accreditation is a significant accomplishment for EKI Energy Services Ltd., demonstrating our dedication to high standards in carbon offset solutions. This recognition enhances our capability to support global climate goals effectively and we look forward to using this accreditation to drive further progress in carbon finance and sustainability,” Sharma noted.
The ICROA accreditation process includes a comprehensive audit by independent third-party auditors. This audit examines EKIโs offsetting processes, including greenhouse gas inventory measurement standards, emissions reduction targets, project selection criteria, and the transparency of offsetting activities.
Managed by the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), ICROA upholds principles of integrity, quality, and impact in carbon credit supply. Its framework ensures that member organizations like EKI maintain the highest standards of environmental integrity and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
EKIโs ICROA accreditation strengthens its leadership position in the carbon market and enhances its role in facilitating corporate climate action through credible carbon offsetting solutions. The company remains committed to innovation and expanding its sustainability services, aiding organizations worldwide in achieving their environmental objectives and promoting a sustainable future.
