NVVN has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a significant project involving the development of 7,131 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar installations. This project will be executed at various locations managed by central armed forces and departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs in Zone 1, which includes the states of Bihar and Jharkhand.

The deadline for bid submissions is September 3, 2024, with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to โ‚น50,00,000. The project entails installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on the rooftops of government buildings as detailed in Annexure-A of Section VI. These installations are expected to maximize energy generation based on the suitability of each buildingโ€™s rooftop.

The final capacity of the solar plants will be determined after detailed engineering and design approvals. The successful bidder will be responsible for various tasks, including design, engineering, testing, and maintenance activities. This includes conducting a preliminary visual assessment of the roofs, ensuring adequate water and electricity arrangements, and determining the optimal capacity for each solar PV plant. Additionally, the successful bidder will handle operations and maintenance (O&M) for ten years.
