In a significant advancement towards the UAEโ€™s Net Zero by 2050 Target, a new 1.2 megawatt-peak solar power system was inaugurated today. The initiative, a collaboration between Dubai Investment Real Estate (DIR), Al Mujama, Yellow Door Energy (YDE), and Clyde Engineering, aims to support the UAEโ€™s Clean Energy Strategy.

The solar installation, covering nine residential buildings in Dubai Investments Parkโ€™s RITAJ community, includes over 2,000 solar panels. The system is expected to generate 1.9 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, fulfilling 30% of the energy needs for the buildings and cutting carbon emissions by 756,000 kilograms per year. The project operates under a solar lease model, which allows Al Mujama to benefit from significant cost savings without any upfront capital investment.
