A petition was recently filed by DGVCL seeking the adoption of a tariff discovered through a competitive bidding process for the installation of 112 solar plants, totaling 212 MW, under the PM KUSUM-C Scheme of the Government of India. DGVCL highlighted that the bidding process was conducted in March 2023, and the project is to be executed under the RESCO model. The company also mentioned that public notices were issued in newspapers on April 23, 2024, as per the directions of the Commission. These notices invited comments and suggestions from stakeholders, but no responses were received. Additionally, DGVCL submitted a compliance affidavit in May 2024, confirming that all necessary steps had been taken to invite feedback on the petition.

When the case was called for a hearing, no representatives from the respondents were present, and no written communications were submitted to explain their absence. The Commission confirmed that all procedural requirements had been met by the petitioner, including the publication of public notices and the uploading of relevant documents on the Commission’s website.

After considering the submissions from DGVCL, the Commission acknowledged that the parties involved had completed their arguments. Both parties were given the option to submit any additional comments within a week from the date of the order. The matter is now awaiting a final decision from the Commission. The order is reserved, and the parties will be notified once it is issued.
