The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced an extension for stakeholders to submit their views, comments, and suggestions regarding the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for Solar PV cells. Initially, the deadline for feedback on the proposed draft amendment to the ALMM order was set for October 6, 2024. However, recognizing the need for more time to gather comprehensive input from stakeholders, the MNRE has extended the submission period by 15 days.

This extension allows stakeholders until October 21, 2024, to provide their insights on the proposed changes to the ALMM order. The ministry aims to ensure that all relevant perspectives are considered in the decision-making process. The ALMM is crucial for maintaining quality and reliability in solar PV products and supporting the government’s efforts to promote solar energy deployment in India.

Stakeholders are encouraged to share their feedback via email to the MNRE. The ministryโ€™s outreach highlights its commitment to transparency and collaboration with industry players, manufacturers, and other relevant parties involved in the solar energy sector. By allowing additional time for comments, the MNRE hopes to refine the proposed amendments and enhance the overall effectiveness of the ALMM framework, ultimately contributing to the growth of renewable energy in the country.
