Ashtrom Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Ashtrom Group and a global leader in renewable energy development, has announced that the Tierra Bonita solar project is now fully operational. This marks a major milestone for Ashtrom Group’s renewable energy initiatives. The project, located in Pecos County, West Texas, spans approximately 2,200 acres and has a capacity of 306 MWac. It is expected to generate enough electricity to power around 75,000 households annually while reducing CO2 emissions by 500,000 tons per year. Tierra Bonita was completed ahead of schedule and at a total cost of $435 million, with $165 million coming from company equity.

โ€œWe are thrilled to announce the early commencement of commercial operations for the Tierra Bonita solar project, a key milestone for Ashtrom Renewable Energy,โ€ said Yitsik Mermelstein, CEO of Ashtrom Renewable Energy. โ€œThis achievement not only underscores our ability to deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects, but also reflects our commitment to sustainable growth within just three years of establishing the company. Through innovative agreements like the sale and transfer of production tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act, we are further maximizing the projectโ€™s financial and environmental impact.โ€
