Shanghai Electric Unveils Advanced Green Energy Solutions at Enlit Asia 2024: Showcasing Innovations in Solar, Hydrogen, and Energy Storage for Southeast Asia’s Energy Transition

Shanghai Electric showcased its cutting-edge energy technologies at Enlit Asia 2024, the leading conference and exhibition for Southeast Asia’s power and energy sector, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company presented a wide array of green energy solutions, highlighting advancements in clean coal power, solar power, hydrogen energy, and multi-energy technologies, positioning itself as a key player in the global transition to sustainable energy.

In response to the rapidly growing solar energy market in Asia, Shanghai Electricโ€™s Power Generation Division introduced the latest products from Hency Solar, including the Creator 210R series heterojunction modules and the Pioneer 210R series TOPCon modules. These solar modules feature a bifacial rate of up to 90% and a maximum output of 640W. Additionally, the company showcased its Intellectual and Edgeless series solar solutions, designed for enhanced safety, real-time optimization, and rapid maintenance to increase operational efficiency. These solutions were previously introduced at the 17th SNEC PV Power Expo.

In the hydrogen energy sector, Shanghai Electric revealed advancements spanning the entire hydrogen value chain, from production to storage and utilization. Notably, the company presented its industry-leading alkaline water electrolysis and proton exchange membrane electrolysis technologies, with the newly launched Z series of alkaline electrolyzers at the forefront. The Z series sets a new standard with a maximum current density of 10,000A/mยฒ and low DC power consumption of 4.1 kWh per normal cubic meter at 4,000A/m.

At the energy storage level, Shanghai Electric introduced a variety of advanced solutions, including compressed air storage, lithium battery storage, flow battery storage, wheeled energy storage, and molten salt thermal storage. These innovations are designed to provide utilities with reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity while enhancing long-term grid security and resilience.

During the exhibition, Shanghai Electric attracted significant interest with its core equipment and leading products such as compressed air energy storage systems and molten salt thermal storage systems. The company also showcased custom energy storage solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, along with backup power systems, sparking discussions on future partnerships and cooperation opportunities with global attendees.
