Prozeal Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., a leader in green energy solutions, has been awarded a significant tender by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), a government enterprise. The contract, valued at Rs. 313 crore, involves the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of a 25 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant (50 MWp) paired with a 20 MW/50 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at Taru, Leh.
This award marks a pivotal milestone for Prozeal Green Energy as it adds another major project to its portfolio, supporting Indiaโs commitment to renewable energy solutions in challenging environments like Leh. The integration of solar energy with battery storage is vital for enhancing grid stability in the region.

Manan Thakkar, also Managing Director of Prozeal Green Energy, emphasized the projectโs importance, stating, โThis project at Leh will not only generate clean energy but also ensure a reliable power supply in the region, thanks to the integration of battery energy storage. We look forward to contributing to the countryโs renewable energy mission.โ
The project is designed to provide power backup for 2.5 hours, with the Battery Energy Storage System charged during the day from the solar plant to supply power during peak demand hours to the grid.
Prozeal Green Energy is reinforcing its position as a pioneer in the green energy sector in India, with ongoing projects in Nepal and Bhutan, as well as a recently awarded project in Portugal. The company also recently completed Nepalโs largest rooftop solar plant of 9.2 MWp for Reliance Spinning Mills, part of the Golyan Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Nepal. Additionally, Prozeal Green Energy has signed a joint venture agreement with Golyan Group to establish over 500 MW of solar rooftop and ground-mounted PV solar plants in Nepal.
