Brookfield Properties announced on Monday that it will source renewable energy from its solar project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, to supply green power to four office campuses across the Delhi-NCR region. This initiative marks the company’s first partnership in India under the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) bilateral arrangement.
With this transition, occupiers at Brookfield Properties’ campuses in Delhi-NCR will now receive 40% of their energy from renewable sources. The four campuses involved in this initiative include Candor TechSpace in Sector 48 and Sector 21 in Gurugram, as well as Candor TechSpace in Sector 62 and Sector 135 in Noida. This move is part of the Brookfield India Real Estate Trust portfolio and is projected to reduce carbon emissions by over 20,000 tonnes annually.
