NTPC Ltd., Indiaโs largest power generator, announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ending September 30, 2024, showcasing robust performance. The NTPC Group achieved a total generation of 220 billion units in H1 FY25, up from 212 billion units in H1 FY24. NTPCโs standalone generation reached 186 billion units, marking an increase from 179 billion units in the corresponding period last year.
NTPCโs coal stations recorded a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 76.31%, outperforming the national average of 70.63% for H1 FY25, reflecting efficient operations.
Financial Highlights
For H1 FY25, NTPC reported a standalone total income of โน86,298 crore, an increase from โน81,199 crore in H1 FY24. The companyโs standalone Profit After Tax (PAT) grew by 15.20%, reaching โน9,160 crore, compared to โน7,951 crore in the same period last year.
On a consolidated basis, the NTPC Groupโs total income rose to โน94,179 crore, up from โน88,775 crore in H1 FY24, while group PAT increased by 13%, reaching โน10,886 crore from the previous periodโs โน9,634 crore.
Dividend Announcement
The Board of Directors has approved a first interim dividend for FY25 at 25% of the paid-up share capital, amounting to โน2.50 per equity share of face value โน10.
