NTPC Ltd. Reports Strong H1 FY25 Performance with 15% PAT Growth

NTPC Ltd., Indiaโ€™s largest power generator, announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ending September 30, 2024, showcasing robust performance. The NTPC Group achieved a total generation of 220 billion units in H1 FY25, up from 212 billion units in H1 FY24. NTPCโ€™s standalone generation reached 186 billion units, marking an increase from 179 billion units in the corresponding period last year.

NTPCโ€™s coal stations recorded a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 76.31%, outperforming the national average of 70.63% for H1 FY25, reflecting efficient operations.

Financial Highlights
For H1 FY25, NTPC reported a standalone total income of โ‚น86,298 crore, an increase from โ‚น81,199 crore in H1 FY24. The companyโ€™s standalone Profit After Tax (PAT) grew by 15.20%, reaching โ‚น9,160 crore, compared to โ‚น7,951 crore in the same period last year.

On a consolidated basis, the NTPC Groupโ€™s total income rose to โ‚น94,179 crore, up from โ‚น88,775 crore in H1 FY24, while group PAT increased by 13%, reaching โ‚น10,886 crore from the previous periodโ€™s โ‚น9,634 crore.

Dividend Announcement
The Board of Directors has approved a first interim dividend for FY25 at 25% of the paid-up share capital, amounting to โ‚น2.50 per equity share of face value โ‚น10.
