AMPIN Energy Transition, a leader in renewable energy solutions, has announced a significant enhancement of its partnership with Varroc Group by signing a transaction document for an additional 27 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar power project in Maharashtra. This new power purchase agreement (PPA) follows the successful execution of AMPINโs earlier solar projects across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, marking a notable advancement in their collaborative efforts toward sustainable energy.
The new agreement with Varroc Group is a testament to their ongoing trust and satisfaction with AMPINโs renewable energy offerings. With this latest addition, Varrocโs total contracted solar capacity with AMPIN exceeds 60 MWp, allowing the company to meet approximately 70% of its energy requirements through clean, renewable sources. This transition is anticipated to lead to substantial cost savings, with an estimated 45% reduction in energy costs across Varroc’s manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra.
The 27 MWp solar project is projected to mitigate approximately 35,500 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually, reinforcing Varroc Group’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices. This installation is expected to significantly bolster the company’s position as a leader in environmental stewardship within the manufacturing sector.
AMPIN continues to assert its leadership in Maharashtra’s renewable energy landscape. With its advanced Solar Park, the company is dedicated to advancing the energy transition and becoming the preferred renewable energy partner for its clients.
โWe are thrilled to extend our partnership with Varroc Group through this new PPA, which underscores the trust they have placed in AMPIN,โ stated Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharyya, MD & CEO of AMPIN Energy Transition. โThis agreement reflects our commitment to aiding our clients in achieving their sustainability goals while providing cost-effective energy solutions. We remain dedicated to delivering innovative renewable energy options that pave the way for a sustainable future and strengthen our relationships with our valued partners.โ
This project aligns with the broader energy objectives of Maharashtra and supports the stateโs commitment to increasing the adoption of renewable energy sources. AMPIN is recognized as the only renewable energy developer in the state operating multiple solar open access projects and is actively investing in new initiatives to expand its renewable energy offerings for commercial and industrial consumers in Maharashtra.
