The Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) recently issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) under the PM-KUSUM Schemeโ€™s Component-A, seeking to set up grid-connected solar power plants with a capacity range of 0.5 MW to 2 MW. The deadline for clarification is November 7, 2024, followed by a pre-bid meeting on November 8, 2024. The bid submission period opens on November 14 and closes on November 29, with the final date for fee submission set for December 2, 2024. Bids will be opened on December 3, 2024.

The scheme encourages local power generation through decentralized solar power plants connected to 33/11 kV substations. These solar plants, which will operate under a RESCO model, will be maintained for 25 years by the developer, and the power generated will be purchased by JDVVNL at a levelized tariff of Rs. 3.04 per kWh, fixed by RERC on October 28, 2024.

Financial requirements for applicants include an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โ‚น1 lakh per MW, while successful bidders will need to submit a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) of the same amount, valid for the project duration. The PBG must be provided within a month after the Letter of Award.
