NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has taken another step forward in expanding its renewable energy operations with the commercial commissioning of a new solar power segment. The company officially informed the stock exchanges, including the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited, through a disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. This latest addition is a 37.5 MW solar capacity located in Bhuj, Gujarat, forming the third phase of a larger 150 MW solar project.

The project is managed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd. This company is fully owned by ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a joint venture in which NGEL is a participant. According to the official communication issued on January 15, 2026, the commercial operations for this segment will commence from January 17, 2026. This development represents a steady progression in NGEL’s efforts to expand its green energy footprint across India.

The announcement was formally signed by Manish Kumar, the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of NGEL. The company operates from its corporate office at the NETRA Complex in Greater Noida and maintains its registered office at the SCOPE Complex in New Delhi. This milestone highlights the continued commitment of NTPC Green Energy Limited to contribute meaningfully to India’s renewable energy sector. By leveraging partnerships and subsidiary-led projects, NGEL is steadily strengthening its position in the country’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

The Bhuj solar project is expected to support India’s broader renewable energy targets while reinforcing NGEL’s role as a key player in the nation’s clean energy ecosystem.
