SunVest Solar, a leading developer of renewable energy projects in the U.S., has completed a major solar installation at Charter Steel’s manufacturing site in Saukville, Wisconsin. The 19.5-megawatt system is now the largest behind-the-meter solar project in the state. It will supply clean, locally sourced electricity to Charter Steel, Wisconsin’s largest single energy consumer, helping the company produce steel more sustainably. The installation includes nearly 30,000 solar panels and is designed to meet a significant portion of Charter Steel’s energy needs. This project supports Charter Manufacturing’s goals to reduce its environmental footprint and cut operational costs.
