Adapture Renewables Completes Texas Project Ahead Of Schedule, Boosts Clean Energy Supply

Adapture Renewables, Inc., a leader in large-scale solar and energy storage, has announced the completion and operation of its new solar project in Hunt County, Texas. The 67 MW facility will provide clean energy to meet the rising demand for electricity, fueled by data center expansion. A Fortune 50 company will use the energy to support its sustainability goals, including reaching net zero.

The project, located in the ERCOT market, covers 25 acres and features over 130,000 solar panels. It is expected to produce around 120 GWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to power 12,500 homes. This development comes as the energy grid faces increased strain from growing AI, cloud computing, and EV charging needs. Projects like this are essential for delivering reliable and affordable clean energy to businesses and communities.

Thomas Houghton, CEO at Adapture Renewables, stated, “We are proud to see our latest Texas project reach this significant milestone. Completing the project ahead of schedule reflects the hard work of our team and partners, and highlights our commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure across the country.”

The project achieved commercial operation three months ahead of schedule, marking Adapture Renewables’ first Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA). Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic’s supply chain disruptions and the 2021 Winter Storm Uri, the company successfully completed the project through timely material procurement and strong teamwork with partners.

This milestone adds to Adapture Renewables’ expanding portfolio of clean energy solutions, helping corporate and industrial clients meet renewable energy targets while enhancing grid reliability.
