South Korea-based LUPRO Inc., a global green energy corporation, has entered into an agreement with Omani company Bait Muscat for Development and Investment to establish a major green ammonia production facility at the Duqm Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in southeastern Oman.
The joint venture aims to leverage Oman’s strategic location and resources to produce green ammonia, a key component for renewable energy applications. The project is part of Oman’s broader push to diversify its energy portfolio and strengthen its position as a leader in sustainable energy production in the region.
This collaboration marks a significant step in the development of Oman’s green energy sector, with the Duqm SEZ serving as an ideal hub for large-scale renewable projects. The green ammonia facility will support Oman’s growing efforts to reduce carbon emissions and meet its sustainability goals.
