Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Unveils Strategic Partners to Drive Global Sustainable Progress

Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) has announced its key partners for the 2025 edition. Scheduled from January 12 to 18 in Abu Dhabi, ADSW 2025 will bring together a distinguished group of global stakeholders to advance sustainable systems transformation.

Supported by the UAE and hosted by Masdar, ADSW 2025 will operate under the theme “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress.” The event aims to unite government officials, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and youth to drive economic, social, and environmental change through innovation and collaboration.

Strategic Partnerships

The Department of Energy (DoE) will serve as the principal partner, while ADNOC and World Wide Technology (WWT) join as strategic partners. Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), EMSTEEL Group, and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) are among the associate partners. DEWA will also support the opening ceremony as an associate partner.

Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, emphasized the importance of collective action, stating:
“Energy transformation must become a shared responsibilityโ€”a movement that shapes a prosperous, sustainable future.”

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, highlighted ADSW’s role in advancing innovation in sustainability, saying:
“Our collaboration reflects the UAEโ€™s leadership in accelerating global net-zero efforts while fostering partnerships in renewable energy.”

Global Impact and Vision

Masdar CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi noted that ADSW has been at the forefront of driving sustainability conversations for over 15 years. He added:
“ADSW 2025 seeks to unlock a $10 trillion economic transformation by integrating energy, technology, and finance to address the worldโ€™s most pressing challenges.”

ADNOCโ€™s Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi reiterated the companyโ€™s commitment to lower-carbon solutions and sustainable energy. EGA CEO Abdulnasser Bin Kalban highlighted the critical need for decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors like aluminum production, aligning with the UAEโ€™s net-zero goals.

Other notable partners include Mubadala, Huawei, GE Vernova, HSBC, and TotalEnergies. Together, these organizations will leverage ADSW as a platform for collaboration, driving innovation to tackle global sustainability challenges.

Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of EMSTEEL, commended ADSW for fostering partnerships that enable actionable solutions. Warrick Cramer, Managing Director of World Wide Technology, emphasized the pivotal role of AI and technology in shaping a sustainable future, stating:
“ADSW accelerates the transition to a sustainable world, merging innovation with action for a smarter, resilient future.”

With its lineup of esteemed partners and a focus on technology-driven solutions, ADSW 2025 promises to amplify the UAEโ€™s commitment to creating a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient global community.
