EDF Renewables North America has announced that the Huck Finn Solar Project began commercial operations in December 2024. Developed for Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation, the 200 MWac / 270 MWdc Huck Finn Renewable Energy Center is now supplying clean electricity to the grid.

The project created over 500 jobs during peak construction and is projected to generate more than $14 million in revenue for the local communities in Audrain and Ralls Counties throughout its operational lifespan. Operating at full capacity, Huck Finn Solar is expected to power more than 37,000 homes, contributing significantly to the local energy supply and reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources.โ€œWe are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Huck Finn Solar project, which is now fully operational and contributing to Ameren Missouriโ€™s solar generation portfolio,โ€ said Jesse Laniak, Regional Project Development Manager at EDF Renewables. โ€œWe extend our sincere gratitude to the communities in Audrain and Ralls Counties whose support has been instrumental in transforming this project into a model of community-driven, sustainable development.โ€
