The proposed amendments aim to address gaps in the current framework, making the program more inclusive and accessible. ERC emphasized the importance of collaboration with industry stakeholders in shaping a sustainable energy future.

The net-metering program enables consumers to generate their own renewable energy, such as solar power, and sell excess energy back to the grid, fostering energy efficiency and sustainability.

Stakeholder Engagement

ERC Chairperson and CEO stated:

“This consultation underscores our commitment to strengthening the net-metering framework to accelerate renewable energy adoption. The insights shared by stakeholders are invaluable in ensuring the programโ€™s success.”
