POWERGRID Invites Bids For Rooftop Solar Projects In Western And Northern Regions Under PMSGY Scheme

POWERGRID Energy Services Limited (PESL), a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, has invited bids for the supply and installation of rooftop solar projects on POWERGRID buildings in both the Western and Northern regions under the PM Surya Ghar (PMSGY) scheme. The tenders were issued on February 17, 2025, for the Northern Region and February 18, 2025, for the Western Region. The bidding process follows a single-stage, two-envelope system under domestic competitive bidding through e-procurement.

The project includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply, transportation, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plants. The systems will be integrated with existing power control centers, and contractors will install net meters or zero export controllers as per state utility policies. The contract also includes a comprehensive maintenance period of five years from the commissioning date. Water for cleaning the panels will be provided at a single point, and further distribution will be managed by the contractor.

For the Northern Region project, a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 24, 2025, at 11:30 AM in Gurugram, Haryana. The deadline for online submission is March 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM, while hard copies must be submitted by March 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The technical bid opening is set for March 4, 2025, at 11:30 AM.

For the Western Region project, the pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM in Gurugram. The deadline for soft copy submission is March 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with hard copies due by March 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The technical bid opening will take place on March 5, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Only bidders meeting the qualification criteria will proceed to the financial bid stage, which will be scheduled later.

PESL has clarified that an electronic reverse auction will not be conducted for these tenders. The organization reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the tenders at any time without providing a reason.
