Jones Power is continuing its expansion in the renewable energy sector with a major 1,250-acre project in South Central Texas. As Texas remains a national leader in solar and battery energy storage development, this project further strengthens Jones Powerโs position as a key player in the regionโs renewable energy construction industry.
Work on the 252-megawatt project began in September 2024, with Jones Power handling all aspects of site preparation, civil construction, and infrastructure development. The companyโs comprehensive scope of work includes building access roads with geotextile reinforcement, installing sediment control systems, conducting large-scale earthwork operations, constructing multiple sediment basins, placing drainage culverts, and developing laydown yards. Each component is designed to support efficient site management while ensuring environmental protection throughout the construction process.
Jones Power CEO, John Clark, stated โThis solar project represents another significant milestone for Jones Power as we continue to expand our presence in Texas’s growing renewable energy market. Our team’s extensive experience in civil construction for utility-scale solar projects puts Jones Power in a great position to deliver value for our clients through the completion of another successful project.โ
This large-scale development not only expands Jones Powerโs renewable energy portfolio but also reinforces its role as a leading civil contractor in utility-scale solar construction. The projectโs scale and complexity highlight Jones Powerโs commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure across the United States.
