Alghanim International Secures $1 Billion EPC Contract for Project Volta in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA Group) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC Group) have awarded Alghanim International a $1 billion Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for Project Volta, a new cogeneration utilities plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The project will supply essential utilities to the petrochemical plants within TAโ€™ZIZโ€™s derivatives complex, supporting the introduction of new petrochemical products to the UAE market. The initiative aligns with Abu Dhabiโ€™s industrial expansion plans and strengthens Alghanim Internationalโ€™s position as a key player in large-scale energy and utilities projects.

Alghanim International has an extensive portfolio in the energy sector, including the Duqm Integrated Power and Water Plant in Oman, which supplies power to the Duqm Refinery, as well as multiple large-scale energy projects in Kuwait.

With a track record of engineering excellence and innovation, the company aims to set new industry benchmarks with Project Volta, contributing to Abu Dhabiโ€™s long-term energy and industrial development.
