The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), a Government of India enterprise, has issued an e-tender inviting eligible bidders to participate in a project for the installation and maintenance of a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system. The work involves the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, post-commissioning operation, and comprehensive maintenance of a grid-connected rooftop solar PV system with a capacity of approximately 495 kWp. The locations for installation include the NUB building, the Mayur Guest House, the Rajhansh Guest House at Anushaktinagar, and the CMM Building at T V Store, Mumbai-94.
The estimated cost for this project, including all taxes such as GST, is ₹3,84,33,579. The tender process officially began on April 10, 2025, with tender documents made available for download from 10:00 AM on the same day. Interested bidders can download the documents up to May 1, 2025, until 5:00 PM. The last date for uploading queries and clarifications is April 15, 2025, by 5:00 PM. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled to be held in person on April 16, 2025, at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.
The window for submission of bids opens on April 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM and closes on May 1, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The Part-I (technical) bids will be opened on May 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
As part of the bid security requirements, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹7,68,672 must be submitted. This can be paid via online payment methods such as credit or debit cards. In case of success, the bidder must also furnish a performance bank guarantee (PBG), although the exact amount for PBG is not mentioned in the tender notice; typically, it is a percentage of the contract value and will be detailed in the contract terms.
The completion period for the entire work is 300 days from the date of awarding the contract. Notably, this tender follows a two-part bidding process (technical and financial) under public, item rate, and domestic bidding conditions. The tender process does not charge any tender fees and does not permit participation via joint ventures or consortia.
Interested parties must meet both technical and financial eligibility criteria, including experience with similar works—such as rooftop solar installations of at least 200 kWp on a single building—and financial turnover thresholds. Documentation such as PAN, GST registration, EPF and ESI registration, solvency or net worth certificate, and work completion certificates must be submitted to qualify.
The NPCIL reserves the right to verify all documents, reject incomplete bids, or take penal action in case of any misrepresentation. The bid will remain valid for 120 days from the date of opening of the Part-I bid.
