MN Holdings Secures RM29.7 Million Contracts for Interconnection Works in Kedah Solar Projects

MN Holdings Berhad , a specialist in infrastructure utilities construction and engineering solutions, has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, MN Power Transmission Sdn. Bhd. (MNPTSB), has secured two contract agreements valued at RM29.7 million from Fabulous Sunview Sdn. Bhd. (FSSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunview Group Berhad.

The agreements, dated 21 April 2025, appoint MNPTSB as the Interconnection Facilities (IF) Contractor for two large-scale 29.99 Megawatt Alternating Current (MWac) solar power plant projects located in Mukim Sungai Petani, Daerah Kuala Muda, Kedah. The contracts encompass the establishment of new interconnection facilities and the extension of two 132-kilovolt (kV) bays at the existing transmission main intake (PMU) Aman Jaya. The project execution will commence upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) from FSSB and is scheduled for completion within 10 months from the NTP issuance.

He emphasized the significance of infrastructure in Malaysiaโ€™s broader energy transformation. โ€œAs the country advances towards its net-zero ambitions, solar energy infrastructure and grid connectivity will play a critical role. MN Holdings remains committed to providing reliable and future-ready engineering solutions to support the growth of the renewable energy sector,โ€ he added.

The latest contract wins align with Malaysiaโ€™s Large Scale Solar (LSS) programme and the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), underscoring MN Holdingsโ€™ expanding footprint in the renewable energy sector.

In a related development, the Group also secured a separate RM5.2 million contract for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of interconnection facilities for a 14.99MWac solar power plant under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) in Kuala Ketil, Kedah.

With these projects, MN Holdings continues to reinforce its position as a key contributor to Malaysiaโ€™s renewable energy infrastructure and a trusted partner in the nationโ€™s energy transition journey.
