Sungrow, a globally recognized provider of photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage solutions, has secured a landmark order to supply 835 megawatts (MW) of its high-efficiency inverter systems to Juniper Green Energy. The deal marks a significant step in Indiaโs renewable energy journey, underlining both companiesโ commitment to accelerating the countryโs transition to clean energy sources.
Juniper Green Energy, a prominent independent power producer with a portfolio spanning solar, wind, and hybrid projects, is targeting an ambitious goal of 10 gigawatts (GW) of installed solar capacity by 2030. To support this vision, the company will deploy Sungrowโs SG320HX-20 string inverters (300 kW) and SG4400UD-20 central inverters (4.4 MW), both of which are designed to offer efficiency rates as high as 99% and support multi-MPPT (maximum power point tracking) for enhanced performance even under fluctuating environmental conditions.
The central inverters are built to operate reliably in Indiaโs harsh climate, capable of maintaining full power output in ambient temperatures as high as 51ยฐC. This ensures stable and continuous energy generation across various challenging geographies.
The inverter systems will be installed at strategic solar project sites across Maharashtraโincluding Chappalgaon, Karanja, and Jalkotโand in Rajasthanโs renowned solar hubs, Fatehgarh and Bhadla. These regions were selected to capitalize on high solar irradiance and ensure efficient integration with the national renewable energy grid.
Speaking on the collaboration, Sunil Badesra, Country Head of Sungrow India, noted, โThis 835 MW agreement with Juniper Green Energy reflects the confidence in Sungrowโs technological leadership and our ability to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. As Juniper Green rapidly expands its renewable footprint, our partnership will play a pivotal role in enhancing grid stability, improving energy efficiency, and driving forward Indiaโs clean energy ambitions.โ
This large-scale project further strengthens Sungrowโs presence in the Indian market and highlights its role as a key enabler of sustainable power solutions.
