Iberdrola Launches East-West Digital to Drive AI-Powered Sustainability Solutions

Iberdrola has officially launched East-West Digital, a new company focused on developing and bringing to market advanced AI-driven digital solutions for sustainability. The new venture builds on technologies and innovations created by Iberdrola Innovation Middle East, the company’s global digital innovation hub based at Qatar Science and Technology Park since 2016.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the 2025 Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg, attended by senior dignitaries, business leaders, and media representatives. Special guests included H.E. Dr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba, Ambassador of Spain to Qatar; Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar; Pedro Azagra, CEO of Avangrid; and Santiago Bañales, Managing Director of Iberdrola Innovation Middle East and CEO of East-West Digital.
