Schneider Electric Canada, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced the expansion of its facility in Brossard, Quebec. This expansion includes the addition of a new production line dedicated to the local manufacturing of Schneider Electric’s advanced power equipment and electrical distribution devices. These products are essential for the electrification of buildings, hospitals, data centers, and infrastructure throughout Canada. The company will celebrate this milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 4, 2025, marking a significant investment that strengthens Schneider Electric’s commitment to local innovation and resilience while bringing manufacturing closer to Canadian customers.
Emily Heitman, President, Schneider Electric Canada, stated, “At Schneider Electric, one of our core principles is that while we operate on a global scale, we make decisions locally with our customers’ best interests in mind. This investment strengthens our ability to better serve Quebec and the Canadian market.”
The expansion is expected to create new jobs in Quebec and improve lead times for customers across Canada. By manufacturing critical components locally, Schneider Electric enhances its ability to support the country’s ongoing energy transition and infrastructure resilience. The ceremony will include remarks from key figures such as Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard; Emily Heitman, President of Schneider Electric Canada; and Fredrick Morency, Vice President of Sustainability at Schneider Electric Canada. Their comments will emphasize the importance of local manufacturing, sustainability, and innovation in advancing a more electrified and efficient future for Canada.
