DMRC Floats Tender For 5 MW Rooftop Solar Project Across Phase-IV Network

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC) has invited open e-tenders for a major rooftop solar power project under Contract DE/SPV-06. The project involves the design, engineering, supply, storage, civil works, structure erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 5 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system. It also includes operation and comprehensive maintenance (O&M) for 25 years under the RESCO model. This solar installation will be carried out across DMRC’s Phase-IV network, which includes Line-08 Extension (from Krishna Park Extension to Deepali Chowk and Majlis Park to RK Ashram Marg), Line-10 (from Saket G Block to Tughlakabad), depot extensions at Shastri Park and Yamuna Bank, and RSSS locations at RK Ashram, Vasant Kunj, and Ambedkar Nagar.

The total estimated cost of the project is ₹19.54 crore, which includes all applicable taxes. As part of the bidding process, interested applicants are required to submit a Tender Security (EMD) amounting to ₹19.54 lakhs. The EMD must remain valid up to January 11, 2026, and can be submitted in the form of BG, FDR, or TDR. The full solar capacity must be commissioned within 18 months from the date of issue of the Letter of Acceptance.

The tender documents have been made available for sale online from July 2, 2025, and will remain accessible until July 31, 2025, at 15:00 hrs. The non-refundable cost for purchasing the tender documents is ₹23,600, inclusive of 18% GST. Payments for both the tender document fee and the EMD must be made through RTGS, NEFT, or IMPS, with scanned copies of the payment proof to be uploaded during the application process.

Important dates include July 10, 2025, as the last date for submitting queries, up to 17:00 hrs. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 11, 2025, at 11:00 hrs. The window for submitting tenders will open on July 24, 2025, at 09:00 hrs and will close on July 31, 2025, at 15:00 hrs. The tender opening is scheduled for August 1, 2025, at 15:00 hrs. Any communication related to this tender will be managed by the Sr. General Manager of Contracts at DMRC.
