NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., has released an application inviting EPC bidders for the enlistment in the development of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV power projects. The projects will be executed up to an aggregate capacity of 20 MWp per vendor in one tender.

The scope of work includes complete turnkey services for both rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. This covers design, engineering, supply, transportation, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar PV plants. Additional responsibilities include civil and electrical work, liaising for grid connectivity, providing module cleaning systems, and setting up a remote monitoring system. Also, vendors must ensure the operation and maintenance of the solar plant and associated electrical equipment for ten years after successful completion and PG test.

For rooftop projects, specific tasks include grid connectivity, net metering approvals, and centralized data monitoring. Ground-mounted projects also require site grading, construction of control stations and infrastructure, SCADA systems for monitoring, and installation of mandatory spares.

Interested applicants are to submit their duly filled applications through the GePNIC portal (https://eprocurentpc.nic.in) before the last date by 23rd July 2025. The enlistment documents are available on the same site, and all communications are to be directed to the Contracts team at NVVNโ€™s Noida office.

Important financial details include a specified Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) amount, although exact figures for these are to be detailed in individual project-specific enquiries. However, as part of the financial eligibility criteria, bidders are expected to have an average annual turnover marked as โ€˜Xโ€™, which will be defined depending on project capacity and estimated cost. Bidders must also show a net worth of at least 100% of their paid-up share capital as of the last financial year.

Applicants must meet one of the technical qualification criteria, such as having completed 400 kWp of cumulative installed capacity in SPV projects, with at least one plant of 40 kWp running successfully for six months. Alternatively, companies with past experience in industrial EPC projects worth INR 40 million or more or those who have executed electrical substations above 11 kV will also qualify.

The enlistment will be valid for one year with a provision for a further one-year extension. Following enlistment, NVVN will issue project-specific enquiries to qualified bidders. The applications will be opened as per the schedule listed on the portal, and NVVN reserves the right to cancel the enlistment process at any time without assigning reasons.

This initiative is part of NVVNโ€™s effort to expand renewable energy adoption and promote solar power deployment through transparent and capable vendor engagement.
